Review: Canidae Grain Free PURE SEA® Cat Food

August 18, 2013

Canidae’s newly-reformulated version of its PURE SEA® Cat Food is made with only seven main ingredients, plus vitamins, minerals, natural flavors, and a mix of probiotics.

This particular cat food contains fresh salmon, along with salmon meal and menhaden fish meal, adding up to 41 grams of protein in each cup, according to their website.

Healthy Cat Food

The company advertises this food as “ideal for sensitive cats” because of the scaled down number of ingredients.  There are no grains, no fillers, no eggs and no dairy.  The ingredients list begins with the three strong fish proteins.  I don’t know of many cat foods that begin with such high pure protein count.  With all natural ingredients, all that remains is to see if Fluffy likes it.

Just like with Canidae’s PURE Dog Food, this PURE SEA Formula for Cats applies their Health PLUS Solutions ™ trio to the kibble after cooking to enhance the levels of live probiotic cultures to support healthy digestion.

The fact that the food begins with fresh fish makes it special, and I like that is made in America!  Canidae has long been known for quality pet food, and I would recommend this cat food to anyone who can afford it.

Claire, the company website says their manufacturing plant is in Brownwood, Texas, also the home of their research and development center.

I’m impressed, I must say. Rarely do I come across a blog that’s
equally educative and interesting, and let me tell you, you’ve
hit the nail on the head. The issue is something that not enough folks
are speaking intelligently about. I’m very happy that I stumbled across this during
my search for something regarding this.
