J.J. Fuds Expands Recall of Products

On January 24, 2015, I posted a recall notice of JJ Fuds, Inc., Pet Foods.  Today, the Food & Drug Administration  announced the expansion of that recall to include ALL lot numbers and products of JJ Fuds Chicken Tender Chunks, Beef Tender Chunks, and Duckling Tender Chunks Pet Foods because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria and/or Salmonella.

The recalled products were distributed in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois to both wholesale and retail outlets.  These products are frozen, raw poultry and beef and if kept frozen will have a shelf life of one year.

Both Listeria and Salmonella can be serious and even fatal to children and those with impaired immune systems.  Humans can become infected by handling contaminated pet food, treats, dishes or toys.

    J. J. Fuds Premium Natural Blends: Beef Tender Chunks,
    5 lb. bags,   Product UPC Number: 654592-345942 Manufacture/Lot Code Date: All
    10 lb. bags, Product UPC Number: 654592-345757 Manufacture/Lot Code Date: All
    J. J. Fuds Premium Natural Blends: Duckling Tender Chunks,
    5 lb. bags,   Product UPC Number: 654592-345928 Manufacture/Lot Code Date: All
    10 lb. bags, Product UPC Number: 654592-345737 Manufacture/Lot Code Date: All
